Nowadays, our lives are just getting overcomplicated and just like a profit - loss statement. The countries are bragging about their economic growth rates getting into double digits. Labour wages are getting even lowered by the corporations. Armies are fighting over more piece of land. Innocent soldiers are being crushed between the feud of nations. Products are degrading while costs are increasing. Social media is handicapping our natural communication skills of talking amongst one another.
Food and Beverages Industry is the most prospering at the time producing the most billionaires. However, according to WFP (World Food Programme), 11 percent of the world population is suffering from hunger. Rich are getting richer and poor are turning poorer. Everyone is in a race to acquire money. However, there lies a hope amongst the greedy 7 billion except one - Bill Gates. Yes, He is the one who donated approximately 30 billion dollars towards polio and malnutrition in parts of the world for the welfare of others.
Yet, Bill Gates leads the Billionaire list with the most net worth of 79.2 billion dollars according to Forbes in 2015.
Hope is still present although it is really low but can be redeveloped with unity and humanity towards mankind. In such tense conditions of life, we must perceive the thin line between luxuries and needs - from which life can be made much more simpler. I would really recommend an inspiring poem "Expect Nothing" from Alice Walker which inspires everyone to not expect too much from life that your life seems a disappointment and instead have fun from the nature.
Change your perception. Look at the half - filled glass rather than half - empty glass. Be satisfied with what you have and lead progress with everyone's share in it. That is real growth. Not just random digits based on the net incomes of the bigger corporations weighed more than the net loss of the poor labourers and civilians. We humans must need to take a look at the high expectancy from our lives. We are on Earth for a purpose and it is to survive with unity as well as the feeling of happiness at each moment in life.
Personally, I wish I could be a part in helping the ones in need just like Bill Gates and many others. I believe its the best experience you might ever experience by giving others joy and happiness.
